Though Coyotes are present year round, I hear them more often in the winter and see their tracks criss crossing over the fields. Occasionally I will catch a glimpse of a pack outing and even more rarely will they stay still long enough for a photo. So I imagine them in my painting, a pair setting out for a joy filled hunt, howling to their peers that they are present.
