Autumn colors in the North Cascades bring me here to paint over and over again. When Im painting the larch against the deep blues and purples of granite, the colors often seem over done and I have to back off on color, but anyone who has hiked this area in the fall knows , these colors are very intense. This is Azurite Peak with its small glacier still in tact. The Pacific Crest trail swings past this view.
